welcome to my Monkey-blog.
Blogging is not the most natural thing for me and it may take me a couple of tries to get this right.
I like to spend my time writing short, popping bits of text that stick in your mind or make you smile. There is probably no art-form further from honest self-expression than marketing.
Since I won’t be doing any live shows in the near future (a New Year’s Special maybe on the cards), I want to share a little about what goes on in the lives of CKDS Thailand.
One time Art student, another time Business student and actual world wandering Master of Arts.
Now I spend my time drawing pretty pictures and organizing exhibitions.
I think it's fair to say I am mile for mile the most distant CKDSradio team member.
I may also be the most sober. Definitely the most likely to be a super villain.
Okay, just to clarify. Technically these blogs are less about CKDSradio and more about life in Thailand.
So, Thailand has been in the news a lot lately.
Things like a military coupe tend to make the headlines, especially with so many foreigners living in Thailand.
Right after the coupe, there were a few worrying issues. News papers and TV channels went offline. The only source of news and television were military broadcasts. Old military broadcasts.
Curfews were implemented throughout Thailand (10pm) and rumours that the internet was to be shut down circulated quickly.
The way things were looking, Jo and I were ready to go on an extended holiday while the country sorted itself out.
Hi there Listners,
many of you don’t really know who I am in the great scheme of CKDSradio.
- I’m not the C, the K and most definitely not the DS.
- My name mainly comes up when equipment breaks down, money is short or new art work is needed.
I’m the AV Monkey.
Glob trotting, Masters or Arts. Marketer of decorative surfaces. International man of randomness.
Steve “the Bossman” (note the double air quotes) Driver and I met a long long time ago in an alternate dimensional plane called Luton (Luton may in fact be imaginary).
We instantly hit it off; mostly fist to face at the top of some stairs.
